Turn to silence в телефоне что это
Turn to silence в телефоне что это
I was wondering if anyone knows how to turn off both the «Always» and «Only while iPhone is locked» features under the SILENCE section of Do Not Disturb? I don’t want my calls and notifications to be silenced ever, especially when the iPhone is locked. It seems like you have to check either one or the other and can’t turn them both off. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

If Do Not Disturb is not turned on, then these settings do not matter. They only matter when DND is activated and you choose whether you want DND to work always or only when the phone is locked. If you are not using DND, those settings mean nothing.

If you use an older Android version
Tip: You can also change volumes from your Settings app S ound.
To have your phone vibrate only (not make sounds), press and hold the volume down button until your phone vibrates.
If your media volume gets turned down instead:
Turn Ring/Silent mode on or off on your iPhone
In Ring mode, you hear ringtones and alerts. In Silent mode, you don’t, but your iPhone can still play sounds, like when you play music or videos.
Use Ring mode
To put your iPhone in Ring mode, move the switch so that orange isn’t showing.

Change ringtone and alert volume with buttons
If you want to control your ringtone and alert volume separately from other apps, turn off Change with Buttons. Then you need to manually adjust your ringtone and alert volume in Settings > Sounds & Haptics or Settings > Sounds.
Turn on vibrate or mute
Tip: To quickly turn on vibrate, press Power + Volume up.

Helpful answers
I too have this issue. Do not disturb IS turned off but phone is still silent when locked. In settings there is only the option to select silence either Always or Only When Phone Is Locked. There is no option through this route to switch off both. Can you help as its really poor. Thanks

I too have this issue and it’s very frustrating. I don’t think Apple could have made this any more confusing and poorly designed (which I’m finding out is pretty common for most things that they do). Above it was mentioned that the silence is only an issue when the Do Not Disturb is turned on, but that’s not true. I don’t have the DND turned on and I still am missing calls, which with much research I’m finding out is when the phone is locked.
When you go to the DND screen in settings the next very frustrating thing is that the only options you have are 1) Always or 2) Only while iPhone is locked. Seeiing this surely also raised the blood pressure even higher as in usual iPhone fashion they don’t provide me with the option I want, which is to never silence the phone. Or do as BB does and give me different profiles to choose from (i.e. Loud, Normal, Silence, Vibrate etc. ).
So needless to say, I’m now experimenting on how to have this setting bypassed. I’m guessing that you need to select Allow Calls From: Everyone. I don’t know. No one here seems to have a good answer for this, so I’m trying to help others as I struggle with my own iPhone frustrations. I hope this helps. I’ve lost count of how many reasons I’m frustrated daily with my iPhone and the way Apple does things. If anyone has any success with this please let me know.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It looks like you’re having a question about turning off «Silence Notifications» for a specific contact on your iPhone, and we’d be happy to provide some guidance.
«When you set up a Focus, you can select Allowed Notifications from people and apps. You can also enable Time Sensitive notifications from apps, which allows apps not in your allowed list to send notifications marked as Time Sensitive.»
We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
This is not helpful. I am receiving notifications (audible when my sound is turned on) for ALL text messages with only ONE exception, my husband. I don’t know how his texts were silenced, but they are and I can’t get them back on for this one contact. I cannot lose his texts or else I’d just re-enter his contact information and delete the old one to see if that didn’t work, but I don’t want to lose his old texts as there is much information to be saved there.
Open his text thread. From there, tap on his name at the top of the message, you will see a selection Hide Alerts. That needs to be off.
I have already checked this. I’m not hiding alerts, The conversation is not muted, Do Not Disturb is not on and my volume is at high. In his message thread there is a moon and a statement that says his messages have been silenced.
The Focus I need for his texts to be silenced when others are silenced (such as at night or in meetings) but otherwise, I need them to ring out. I just want them to all act the same.
The moon you are seeing is showing that his thread is on Do Not Disturb. The name was different in the older iOS. I notice when I turn on Hide Alerts for someone, the icon on the message is a bell with a line through it. I’m seeing if I can find where that old setting is for do not disturb for a message.
Okay, so you have his messages silenced under specific conditions with a custom set Focus? But that Focus is off?
Ещё одна изюминка Google Pixel стала достоянием всех смартфонов Android. Можно отключить звонок переворотом
У самых разных моделей появилась удобная функция Flip to Silence
Detect and block spam phone calls
You can use Silence Unknown Callers or a third-party app to block spam calls on your iPhone.
Turn on Silence Unknown Callers
With iOS 13 and later, you can turn on Silence Unknown Callers to avoid getting calls from people you don’t know. This blocks phone numbers that you’ve never been in contact with and don’t have saved in your contacts list. If you’ve previously texted with someone using their phone number or if a person has shared their phone number with you in an email, a phone call from that number will go through.
To turn on Silence Unknown Callers, go to Settings > Phone, then scroll down, tap Silence Unknown Callers, and turn on the feature. Calls from unknown numbers are silenced and sent to your voicemail, and appear in your recent calls list.
Incoming calls will come through from people that are saved in your contacts list, recent calls list, and from Siri Suggestions to let you know who’s calling based on phone numbers included in your emails or text messages.
If an emergency call is placed, Silence Unknown Callers will be temporarily disabled for the next 24 hours to allow for your iPhone to be reached.
Before you turn on Silence Unknown Callers, make sure you have important contacts saved or you could miss a phone call that you don’t want to miss. The call will still go to voicemail and appear in your recent calls list, but you won’t get a notification while the call is ringing.
Set up an app to filter and detect spam calls
Phone numbers that appear under Blocked Contacts are numbers that you manually block.
When you receive a call, your device checks the caller’s number and compares it to the list of phone numbers in your third-party spam apps. If there’s a match, iOS displays the identifying label chosen by the app, for example Spam or Telemarketing. If the app determines that a phone number is spam, it may choose to block the phone call automatically. Incoming calls are never sent to third-party developers.
If you determine that a number is from a spam caller, you can block the number manually on your device. Phone numbers that you manually block appear under Blocked Contacts.
If you no longer want to use the app, you can remove it.
