Rip And Tear – крылатое выражение главного героя игры Doom, вышедшей в 1993 году, последней игрой в этой франшизе на данный момент является Doom eternal.

В 1996 году компания Id Software выпустила комикс, основанный на игре Doom под названием “Knee Deep in the Dead” (“По колено в трупах”).
На одной из страниц комикса главный герой под берсеком (Power up в Doom, дающий кулакам большой урон) и под сферой бессмертия приходит к Кибердемону. Между ними завязывается диалог, в котором главный герой говорит ту самую фразу.

2) “Ты большой, это значит, что у тебя огромные кишки”
Значение
Во время разговора с кибердемоном главный герой скорчил странное лицо, которое по задумке должно было сделать момент более эпичным. Люди стали подставлять эту фразу под что угодно (в основном под шутеры 90-ых) и подбирать слова под того или иного главного героя.

Was confused about that one when I saw it in DLC page (I have preodered it so I was just curious, didnt mind that much). But the thing that confuses me more is wth is that DLC called «Single Player Campaign»?
I have a strange feeling that they tried to make Battlemode a F2P game with SP as a payed DLC. But who knows.

My typo: I meant Altman or anyone under him who suggested this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea (it got removed anyway, they must have realized the sea of crap which has submerged them and letting pass some time before set the marketing manager free again from his cage in the ceiling; maybe a bit of fish heads as lunch would be beneficial for his brain)
and anyway: i have already the preorder bonuses. since i wanted to try anyway the game, i purchased it in preorder without the dlc pass, just in case they would have done some crap move during the release. happy to see i was right

the publisher of both developement studios is bethesda softworks which is ONLY a publisher and todd howard also have no influence to bethesda softworks. doesnt matter what ideas he have, it have nothing to do with doom ^^

they just do whatever the marketing dpt says them to do, they have control on the program codes and the ideas about gameplay, the rest isn’t in their role to decide (since stratton is only a studio manager, i believe he passes most of his time in conference calls with zenimax/bethesda marketing dpt saying them which kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they are).
i firmly believe that all these crap moves (contracts with denuvo, season pass, skin packs) are from bethesda/zenimax genies and stratton is the only one that is blocking them to bring any more harm to their game. he took all the blame on himself only to cover someone other’s responsibilities since bethesda is already in a so bad fame that destroying a franchise like doom would greatly harm the future sells, so he preferred to say «sorry peeps, it’s all our fault! we’ll take actions to amend our name and intentions!»; i just don’t believe the story of the best intentions.
Time will tell.
EDIT: and IMHO, adding a preorder pack and removing it after some weeks is not really a thing from a sane mind. something is happening behind the scenes for sure

you always want to try to chain as many glory kills as possible to keep your ammo and health high to avoid death
always remember to perform a glory kill every time you have a chance to
always remember to use your chainsaw to replenish a lot of ammo at once
and always remember to play mick gordons music at max volume
and RIP AND TEAR UNTIL IT IS DONE
(playing mick gordons music at a louder volume will greatly increase the efficiency of you ripping and tearing)
